Default 2.73 gears to 4.10 gears

Just wondering about how much tenths of a second will 4.10 gears shave off of your ET if you are going from 2.73 gears to 4.10 gears with t-lok.

thanx

If you're planning on going boosted anytime soon I'd go with 3.73's..... JM2C.

your going turbo right? i wouldnt go higher than 3.27's to be honest. i see cobra guys around here dropping from 3.55 to 3.27 or 3.04 (or something to that effect). w/ 4.10, you wont allow the turbo to boost fully in the lower gears

FWIW, I have a 99GT w/5 speed, it came with 3.27 gears (or something close) I went to 3.55s and actually picked up 1-2 mpg on the highway to 23mpg. This was with a Kenne Bell at 6psi. I drove it 1200 miles through the Smokey Mountains so it was working hard.
I'd stick with the 3.55 to 3.73s.

What I should have said was I wouldn't go above 3.73's.. I think if I was in your situation I would probably go with 3.55's. You're probably not going to run a ton of boost through that motor I wouldn't suspect.

I would rock 3.27 gears or at the max 3.55's with a turbo setup. You want the motor to have a load on it with the higher gear ratio so it will build up boost.
