Default BBK LT Headers & SLP Shorty X-Pipe; Will They Fit Together?

Hey all.

I'm looking at getting some LT Headers. My original plan was to get SLP's Ceramic Coated along with their Shorty X-Pipe. But, the wallet won't stretch open quite that far, so I started looking at BBK's LT Headers. There's a note with them though that "These headers require a flanged end shorty midpipe in order to function properly. BBK recommends using a BBK X-Pipe for the best performance gains." While I'm not surprised they recommend their own brand of x-pipe to go along with them, are they required to go along with them?

I'm assuming by flanged end, they're talking about the piece at the end of the pipe that meets with the beginning of the mid-pipe. In that case, that brings about the thread subject. Will SLP's x-pipe work with BBK's LTH's? I ask because, while there is no notation about requiring a flanged end mid-pipe on SLP's LTH's, the picture of their shorty x-pipe appears to have them.

Lastly, as a related side question, what should I expect, or look for, in the price dept. for installation of both?

As always, thank you.

Based on the pictures on AM...it doesn't look like bbk lt's will fit slp's shorty mid pipe. The slp mid pipe does not have a flange...it is made for the slp lt's which has a collector that is slip on style.

If you take the car to an exhaust shop they can weld on the flanges you need. Otherwise you can't use the SLP's slip fit mid pipes with flanged style long tubes.
