Question Window problem

My passenger window won't roll up. Te switch is fine, i switched it with the other side and had a new switch that also didnt work.
I had a motor from another mustang and after installed it didnt work. When i run power (not from the car) directly to the motor it will roll up. Also, I checked the tracks and none of them are bent or out of place that I can see. The window does move side to side (from front to back of the car) a little if i do it myself bit but not that much.
Im all out of ideas and could use some help...

I dont know how the connection is set up, if it is just a reversal of +/- then it shoulcnt be a shorted wire right? but i dont know if that is right, if it is through a separate connection for up/down then it could be a short... do you know how its wired?
