Unless your tuned for high octane and the gas your getting is'nt high enough octane for your tune then maybe.Running higher octane without a proper tune is a waste of money.

If it's the type of stuff that that they sell in a small bottles at Autozone, etc., then skip it. Most of those will only raise your octane a few percent of a point, which is not worth the price. For $10-12/gal you can pick up some toluene from a hardware store to give you a serious boost. I used to run a 20%+ - mixture in my Audi, which gave me a little over 98oct. Anything past 25% and you might have trouble cold starting the engine. I know there are also other chemical additives that you can use to raise your octane (and possibly for less than toluene,) but I can only comment on what I have used personally.

It does nothing to your car, other then make it faster by making your purse in this case lighter. Its also not a power adder, moving...

Octane booster does nothing.. I do however recommend the Lucas fuel injector cleaner. I use it in both of my cars and my Fiance's about every 3rd or 4th tank. It's more expensive than the other brands, but it has an upper cylendar lubricant and has always worked very well for me.

props to you for checking it out before buying it. I can't count the times I've been in an auto parts store and these A-hole sales people are feeding girls all this BS because they are banking on them no knowing any better.

I'm not knocking Lucas octane booster cause I'm sure it's a good product, but like others have mentioned.....it won't do anything for your car unless you need more octane due to the tune you have.

The main point is that is only raises the octane a few tenths of an point, so that in itself is a reason not to buy it, just like all the other octane boosters. Lucas I would trust in my car before most others though, and I have used the fuel injection cleaner.

1. Nope.

2. If you've got a tune for higer octance and you've got access to higher octane then I'd use it.

Or just turn the timing down a degree and run the 93 tune. Or since its a canned tune from Justin and he can't see the a/f or any thing else I'm sure your be fine on 91. Or you could just email him and ask him to make a few changes for you.

You do have a VMPtuning.com tuner don't you?
