Default mac vs. upr mid pipes

ok, so right now i have a homemade x pipe with stock cats and ive got a pair of magnaflow mufflers this is on my 01 GT, i am wanting to purchase a good midpipe for under 200 bucks so far ive found two that i like the mac and upr mid pipes, i am wanting more of an old muscle car sound deep and agressive what brand should i go with??? most likely going with an o/r H pipe but possibly X pipe, i heard the X is more raspy

Muscle car sound? Go w/ an H. If you want to save cash, go to a muffler shop and have them cut the x portion off and install and H.

well see, i got the car completely stock and i added the magna flow mufflers and cut out just like an 8 inch section of the factory mid pipe right at the H and replaced it with an X, but its still just way too quiet so i feel i need a real H pipe that bolts up to the factory headers with thicker size pipe, but the other end wont bolt up to the catback anymore b/c of how i cut and welded that X in there so ill have to do some cutting on the new mid pipe as well, just want to know what the best brand is to go with its hard to tell with youtube videos and such

You can find used o/r H's for super cheap if you look hard enough. I got mine for $70 stephen got his for like 80 almost brand new. And if you want old school muscle car sound you want an H-pipe for sure.

Mid pipes are mid pipes. Get the cheapest one you can find and do work.
