Default Halogen Projector Headlights

I recently was given a 98 V6 mustang and was wondering about the headlights. They are the Halogen Projector Headlights (Angel Eyes) and dont shine too good. So my question is, I was thinking about getting the Luminics Ultra White 9005 bulbs to make them shine brighter and I was wondering also if those lights are illegal, thanks for any replies. I am trying to save up for the HID Kit but bills come first so are the replacements good for the meantime.

Naa they aren't illegal. I've heard a lot of negative stuff about those angels eyes. But it's a good thing you're savin for those HIDs! They're the best! And welcome to the forums! Hope you hang around here!

Thanks for the welcome, even though my car is a V6 I just recently put the BBK Cold Air Intake on my car for that extra boost, some say it is a waste of time and money but hey, gotta live life to the fullest I guess.

A cold air by itself won't get you too much, it's true. Most of these guys will tell you that a fantastic mod with bang for your buck would be getting 3.73 or 4.10 differential gears. And don't worry man, there's lots of us sixers on here!

You've got to start somewhere. The C.A.I. is one of those mods that will get better over time as you add other mods to the car, same with exhaust and the such. Welcome to the forums!

Gears would be the first mod I'd do personally, and then later on maybe get a tuner. The tuner will improve the gas mileage, although for a sixxer idk how much more power it'd give you.

Those bulbs are really just a blue blue with a slightly higher wattage. I would look for used or cheap pairs of Slyvania silver star bulbs instead of those. Such as these found here.
