Default Looking for opinions on the G-Tech Pro

Hello everyone. I tried to do a search, but it said the phrase was too short. I have looked online, but most of what you see is a place selling them, rather than info about them. I have been to G-Techs website, but I am looking for an unbiased opinion.

I am thinking about getting the G-Tech Pro Competition. Does anyone here have one? Or can anyone offer an opinion...pros and cons, or anything in general. Thanks.

Cheaper to go to the strip and calculate everything from your 1/4 mile time.

Its a waste of money for something that is not even that accurate. Go to the drag strip instead and have fun.

Thats a good point. I was thinking about having a G-Tech- it would be hard not to drive in the "arrest me, please" mode, so I was thinking that a good radar detector might be the wiser option, or at least before the G-Tech. I have been wanting a Valentine 1 for awhile.

Anyway, I thought they were supposed to be pretty accurate. As for GPS, I would trust that as much if not more than actual radar- but theres alot more to it than that I guess. At any rate, thanks for the replies. I figured i'd wait awhile to post back, hoping someone else would chime in.

I have used the older model and it was not accurate at all. I hear the newer more expensive one is better, but still not accurate enough and for the price of it I would rather have a good radar detector like the V1 (I have one and love it) or spend the money on go fast parts.
