Default ABS LIGHT ON

hey guys. well i just replaced the passanger rear axle shaft.and now my abs light is on.what can it be?

did the new one have the abs ring on it?

im not sure. but it had a circular spiked thing behind the 5 lug on the axle.

Was the sensors plugged back in?

make sure your sensor is plugged in, connected to the axle and sitting close enough to the tone ring to work (about 5-10 sheets of paper away). Also make sure the sensor and tone ring are at least reasonably clean.

Don't forget to check the other sensors too.

How did you get the ABS sensor out of the bracket to allow the axle C clip removal? Were there channelocks or vice grips involved? If it came out fairly easy, then just make sure it's clean of all the little shavings. If it was a PITA like usual, it may be damaged from the removal process and need replaced.



Or maybe you just forgot to plug it back in.. it happens
