Default newby needs exhaust help

hi im rob from ct. i have a 2006 v6 4.0 liter pony. the Pypes 409 Stainless Steel V6 Dual Pipe Conversion Kit looks like a true duel exhaust and looks good. but the Magnaflow Dual Exhaust Catback System is more money but doesnt look like a true duel exhaust. Which is the better buy in reguards to performance and sound. advice would be greatly appreciated.

and any advice on a good CAI would also be appreciated

thanks

now anyone correct me if i am wrong, however i dont believe that the factory v6's are true dual exhaust. i think they connect to a ypipe, then go dual from there back.

saying that, if you want that true dual exhaust sound, youll get it and with a lil more power. the magnaflow will also give you more power. its a matter of preference. and yes magna flow is a lil bit more, however you get what you pay for. they have been in the business a while and their products are proven. id go with a name that you know of.

good luck

On the V6's they can make it a true duel exhaust though. I'm not exactly sure how but I have heard of the such on the newer mustangs.

im sorry. it seems i misphrased the sentence. right now i have a single exhaust and am look for a duel exhaust. my options are
Pypes 409 Stainless Steel V6 Dual Pipe Conversion Kit (2005+ V6)

or

Magnaflow Dual Exhaust Catback System (2005+ Mustang V6)

both from americanmuscle.com

the pypes 409 looks like a true duel exhaust while the magnaflow doesnt because the air gets bottlenecked as it goes from 2 pypes, then back to one, then splits a final time. with the pypes 409, the air never gets crammed. theres just a straight cross path. This is what makes the pypes look ture and the magnaflow not true, even though it might sound better

i brought up the price because i didnt understand how the magnaflow could be more money if it wasnt as true as the pypes

thanks

i looked up both exhaust systems on americanmuscle.com...the reason the magnaflow isnt "true" is because it connects right up to the factory y pipe.

the pypes 409 is a true because it doesnt hook up to the factory y pipe. it has the ypipe delete, which would in case be a true dual exhaust.

look at both pictures and compare them it looks as if the magnaflow is shorter, and the 409 is longer due to the y pipe delete. the "x" pipe on the 409 looks like thatll take place for the y pipe.

as for the price, its like a bmw. your gonna pay a lot for a bmw even though they arent all cracked up to what they are suppose to be. with magnaflow, yes they are good, and they sound good, however your paying for the name more less.

hope i answered all of your questions

Yes that is correct
the Pypes is a conversion kit that will make it a duel
the Magnaflow i just a cat back
