Default new brake rotor problem

I just intalled new cross-drilled rotors and pads on my mustang. After completing the install I did my normal test drive with no problems and when I pulled back into the driveway and stopped it shuddered (best word to describe it) and a rubbing noise. Lokked the brakes over and did not see a problem, the only thing I noticed was that the brand new rotors were very hot to the touch for just a few minutes drive with braking. Any thoughts on what is causing this?

Make sure your calipers are sliding freely. If they are locked up it could cause your problem.

Well the reason there is because there brakes and thats what they do
Brakes Are Controled Friction
Friction Produces Heat
SIMPLE
And For for the other thing your talking about I have no clue on what ur talking about
Sounds like the brakes are doing what there suppposed to do STOP YOUR CAR

Thanks,
I will pull the tires and check out the calibers. The brakes due work, yes. But the problem is when I am at the end of the stop. It is a hard stop though. It does make a noise but not like bad brakes that need new pads, but more like the brakes are rubbing to hard. I can not think of another way to tell it.

But thanks for the help.

If you didn't use an anti squeal product on the back of the pads its gonna make noise almost every time.

When we installed cross-drilled rotors on my "04 Cobra it did the same thing. But, we took it out and did a few "test-runs" lol seeing how it would handle full braking power from 60-0 and after that they quit almost 100%. After a day at the track I never heard a thing since then. I'm not sure as to what causes it the rotors may just need to be worn a little bit before they get use to the compound of your pads. Hope that helps.
