exhaust clamps
Since i live in cali with all the gay restrictions and i want to get rid of my cats. Can i remove the cats but have clamps so i can put them back on when i need them? My friend and his mach 1 had clamps for his turndown tips so i was wondering if it could apply for this too.

You can but trust me, don't do this w/ regular u-bolt clamps. You'd be surprised at the reduction of ground clearance. Also, since you are in Cali, I'm sure they will check for the number of cats so I'm not sure if having four cats clamped in place is a good thing.

depends on where you go... The standards are different county to county.
REMOVING YOUR CATS FOR MORE POWER IS NOT GOOD. It's not going to make your v6 a damn bit faster but you'll put yourself in line for the $1000 ticket you get when the cops pull you over for SOUNDING LIKE YOU DON'T HAVE CATS. Don't think they will... check craigslist. There are 2 catless h-pipes for sale from dopes who thought the cops would never pull them over just for sound. They'll pull you over just because it's a mustang and you're young.
