Default replacing third brake light

ok so i thought replacing the third brake light would be an easy installation but it seems nothing ever goes easy so why would this. ok so as i'm removing the original brake light 1 of the nuts comes down half way and just turns the entire peg instead of just coming off easy like the first nut. I've sprayed the crap out of it with wd40 and nothing...still turning the entire peg right out of the brake light. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Its fine if the stud comes out as well. You can just bolt that whole back in that way also. Mine did this when I took it off to sand it and reclear coat it when it got the cracks in it like every other mustang.

^+1 or if you really want the nut of of the stud use a pair of vice girps to hold on to the stud while twisting the nut, that is if there is enough room to fit a pair of vice grips
