Question What the heck is wrong with me?

Ok, here is the deal. I have a 2002 gt, Pullys, Intake, 75mm TB, Predator Tune, MAC H-Pipe, Flowmasters, 4.10 gears, 1.5" lowerd, Tri-Axe Shifter. Some ok MODS. I ran a 13.7 without the Pullys and the TB. I moved and now run on a 1/8 mile track. My best time is 9.1 What the hell is wrong with me. If im not mistaken i should be in the mid 8's. I did get new tires for my 18x9 cobras but i dont know if thats why im sucking. IM running PRoxies right now. As you all know with 4.10s and street tires tracktion is non-existent, but im not a bad driver. Someone give me an idea on what my problem is.

I also hear that elevation changes your time? Is this true? If so what kind of change would you need to mess up a time like what is happening to me. Id think it would need to be a big change.

elevation/air density/humidity all these things factor in too, but how long have you been driving, experience and all that too!

ever try running drag radials?

Was 13.7 your absolute best run? You should proabably use an average of your better runs to do your calculating. Also, what did your average timeslips say your 1/8 mile time was? You may have been picking up alot of time in the second half of the 1/4 and so running a 9.1 would seem slow, but if you continued to a full 1/4 your time wouldn't be so bad. I'm not much a drag racer and stick to AutoX, so I don't know what your times should be with your mods or how 1/8 times usually relate to 1/4 times. Track prep, the tires, ect. all make a difference.

I have been driving for over 7 years. I have had my car for 4 years. Ive also been to some driving schools, so i can hold my own. 13.7 was my best time. An average would be 13.8. When i run on the 1/8 im almost always 9.2 with a best of 9.1 . I have never had drag radials, thats my next step.

ya if ur at a higher elevation it makes a really big difference
i race Here in Las Vegas about 3500-4500 ft. depending on where exactly u are in the city
but ya, your E.T. will suck the big one when its 107 degrees outside and your at 4500 ft. elevaton
