Default is this safe?

i have been having troubles with my radiator fan not kicking on since i picked up my 96 3.8l and after researching i have an idea it is my ccrm module. i went to the salvage yard and could not find one but i did notice that the temp switch/sensor whichever one this is that after i unhook it the radiator fan automatically turns on. the switch and sensor are both new btw.

is this safe to drive around with this unhooked till i can afford a new ccrm? i live in texas and the temp has been hanging around 100 for the last two months and prob another one on the way. i can turn my a/c switch on and it will run the fan but there is no freon right now so i would rather not run it while it is empty.

Its a saftey feature to make sure the fan turns on. Its ok to run it like that it will just take longer to warm up.
