Default rough deceleration

i know i don't have much to give you guys on this to diagnose, but here it goes...

my cars been really rough when decelerating lately. if i get it up to 50-60mph and then just let off the gas (without braking) and let it coast it starts to jerk. sometimes its worse than others.

I checked the IAC hose as i recently replaced it due to a rough idle, everything is good with that. other than that, i haven't checked anything because i don't know where to begin. its an 02 V6 coupe, auto trans, 86k miles. ive had the car since 47k miles and the trans fluid hasn't been changed during that period, nor have the spark plugs. are either of those areas of interest?

My guess would be in the trans, but who am I? Hows the acceleration, any problems there?

acceleration has been fine, there are no problems or hesitation or jerkiness when accelerating. the only problem is when i let off the gas and let the car coast and it starts to jerk

problem: clogged air filter.

it looked like it was dipped in soot. changed it out with an OEM Ford filter (it was a K&N) and it works fine now.
