Default are 40% reduced pulleys too much?

i'm about to install some motoblue pulleys and was wondering if this is a safe choice or will it overheat.. undercharge.. exc...

I had them on my v6 and I didn't have any problems with them.

Are they really 40% underdrive and not like 23%? 40 seems a little bit much

i have BBK pulleys on my car and i have no trouble at all.
