custom shaker install. cutting..
ok since i have the Cobra 95' hood that i got from AM. i was wondering if i were to have the shop cut a square the size of the one on the mach 1 hoods, that if i got a shaker system that it would fit good and clear it?

Man you need decide on things before you go and buy them. Why waste a perfectly good hood you just bought and had painted. For one, the shaker system wuld look stupid with the hood you have now. It's not really going to add power to your car, so why waste the money on buying the shaker system and then a brand new hood. Buy something else.

Ok, so, who shot who in the what now?
karkraft stopped making the bracket.
you would need the bracket to fit it on a v6, the shaker scoop, and the airttube that goes from the front of the lower part to the airbox on the intake.
then you could use a stock mach hood.
the cdc shaker requires the use of a stock v6 or gt hood, however, it has been done, search on the board and you will see what would have to be done.
basically, the cdc shaker's rubber lip sits a lot futher down.
the CDC and ROUSH kit WILL work with a Mach 1 hood if you have the patience to do all the custom work like this guy did... he basically took the applique which goes on top, and did a clever butcher job on the applique to get it to work somewhat as a spacer.

My advise, if you REALLY want to get a shaker to fit, buy the rehular shaker bracket, and modify it.

this is how the CDC shaker looks.

Oh yeah, no idea about the cobra r hood. the mach 1 hoods sit pretty high. Simply cutting the hood wouldnt do it, you would need to make sure you can adjust the height of the shaker if needed. they sell spacers for this, but they are very hard to come by.
anything can be made to fit for the right $$$
if you really insisted, im sure for the right price somebody could fab it all to work together.
