Default better throttle respone...

so i just tuned my car for premium fuel(93 octane), and it seems like it has a better throttle response, it gets on it faster and quicker. think it caused it?

I hope you didn't tune it yourself. Pre loaded tune?

thats what they do. Not worth it at all to be running 93 octane though. With the fuel prices its not worth 5-8wrhp

it was a pre-loaded tune yes, and dave, what do you mean "that's what they do?" lol. and here gas price is $4.15 and premium is $4.34 so "go figure" not that much of a difference to me.

a custom tune improves/changes a ton of stuff when you load it:

throttle response time, a/f ratio, changes rev limiter, removes speed limiter, turns off o2 sensors, firms shift points, changes the fan to cause the car to run cooler... etc. So the throttle response is just one of the many things they do thats all I meant by that

the gas didn't change it just the variables the tune changed made the difference. I hardly noticed a difference when I dropped from 93 to 87 a while ago (i have a 87performance, 87 gas millage, 93performance since my tuner came with 3). Then again most of my driving is highway but the response times and all that feel the same (been a while since I used the 93 so kinda forgot lol but couldn't have been much different if I can't remember)

Brenspeed is good for tunes. You really should look into having them send you a tune. They are really nice about it too. I'm always a pain in the *** adjusting shift points but they don't seem to mind.

Have them dyno tune your car. You dont have much performance mods but might as well.

I use 20 gallons a week... .20 x 20 is 4 bucks a week... so 16 a month... but you have a SIX so you get better mileage.

whats that supposed to mean...are you trying to get in an argument wtih v6mustangpwr again...you could probably get as good or better mileage in your stock gt as a v6 gets, also depends on how you drive. for example my GT got better gas mileage than my old 4.3L v6 s10
