Default New Clutch is In

I just got done replacing the clutch with a Spec Stage 1, pilot bearing and TOB and had my flywheel resurfaced. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing some bad clutch chatter. Take off is terrible and shifting into second is not much better, third and fourth aren't too bad, but downshifts have a lot of vibration. WTF can I do about this, or does this go away after a few hundred mile break in period?

Also, is this just a Spec issue? If so why?
Is this bad for the drivetrain to have this much vibration?

Same thing happened to me. Had a SPEC stage II and aluminum flywheel put in a couple months ago. For me, all chatter and vibrations seemed to have gone away after changed my PCV valve for some reason. Odd because all the quirks and sounds seemed to have been coming from the tranny itself.

wow man another with a clutch problem!
i did a center force dual friction in mine. nice for racing but the street stinks. it dosen't release enough to easily shift my tremec. dam near have to turn it off , put it in gear and restart it. did as they say only with a brand new fly wheel. well IMMO it,s not a streetable clutch kit.

trans is comeing back out for a dead stock disc over the weekend. and i'm pulling off thier weights from the fingers of the plate, to me haveing been a mechanic for over 40 years before retireing all it is, is a repainted and modified stock valeo unit, even has their name on the parts.
