Read the forum, need more advice 00gt
Greetings to all,
I have a 00 GT, 5sp, 91k with no mods other than a magnaflow exhaust system. I need some advice before I get further into changing things. I have read the forum and have a few ideas.
I purchased a Fidanza 2 clutch that hasn't been put in yet. Is this a good clutch?
I do alot of highway driving, but the 3.27s aren't doing it for me. 3.90? I want to keep some driveability out of it on longer trips.
I just bought a suspension kit with kyb dampers and Vogtland 1.5 springs. They haven't been installed yet. Several questions on this one. 1. Should i get the tokico's instead? Also, am I going to need camber plates? 2. Will i have consider tire rub with 18x9-18x10 wheels? I'm wanting to go with 265/35, 295/35.
The wheels and tires. Like I said above, this is what I think I want after reading many of your posts. Basically, with a 1.5 drop, I want to fill these wells but don't want any rub. I'm getting ready to buy the wheels (black chromed type-S) and tires and want to make the best choice possible.
So far these are my wants, and I respect and look forward to many opinions. I'm sure there are many differences in the opinions on the suspension and gearing, but i'd like to hope that the wheel/tire size will be a straight forward conclusion. I am a professional career person who isn't so much of a weekend racer. Just want a great looking/faster than stock mustang. I like the punch, but like to feel like I can cruise to a quick vegas trip and still get decent gas mileage. I feel that is possible for sure.
Thanks to everyone and I look forward to many more mods and posts!
