Default Brake Issue

I was driving down to school the other day and as I was coming to a red light (I was braking) I hit a little bump in the road, which caused my brakes to let loose. I immediately let off the pedal and pushed again and they worked fine so I didn't really have time to figure out if it was all of them or what but I'm looking for some insight as to what could have caused that. It hasn't happened since so I'm not terribly worried about it but yea.

I was planning on replacing my brakes at some point this summer so if I should be doing that sooner then later that's fine.

The thing is that it only happened once, everything has been fine ever since.

That was just your ABS working. When you hit that bump while braking, it caused them to momentarily lock up and activate the ABS. It is normal.
