Default Trans go Vs. J-Mod

which is better and more reliable and why?

Obviously ill be getting a tranny cooler so my tranny will last longer.

So far from my research Ive gathered that the J-mod is safer and more reliable. I just wanted some of your opinionions

also where is the best place to purchase the J-mod kit?

You don't buy anything for the J-mod. All you do is drill a few holes and remove some check *****. It's free minus the tools needed.

that website has said out of stock for quite sometime now. I have no idea but its a possibility they're only doing it if you send in your current valve body

Its super easy to mod the valve body. You will be amazed how simple it is once you pull the valve body off the tranny.

It may be a duh post but if you do it yourself just be sure you have tranny fluid to put back into your car when you are done with the swap you might as well change the filter while you are down there if you haven't had a tranny flush in awhile

nope i dont see my self lowering it for a while. Maybe next summer or once i graduate in 2010. Im thinking about doing the 5.4L swap once im out of college. So ill need to get a 8.8 rear end. But for now these or just thoughts and ideas and we will see if they matierlize into anything as we go.

Since they are opening the tranny up for the valve body they will be changing the fluid and if they are a competent shop they will change the filter as it comes off for the valve body to be removed anyway. So you dont need to get a flush as you will have new fluid. Honestly i cant stress enough how easy this mod is you should read up on how to do it and just save your money and do it yourself. You will save money and learn new things about how cars work. Its the best part of modding your car is doing it yourself.

Yes we have one here from our member 03mustangt. Search for the D&D garage write up on the j-mod.
