Default pre 4.10s not another gear thread

This is my first post and hopefully a helpful one for me. My mustang, a 2000 gt, has to put it nicely a rough life. The rear tires wear extremely quick from the inside with only about 4,000 miles on them they'll need replacing by summer. Could it be my suspension or a bent axle housing that is causing my problem? I'm definitly not a crazy driver or someone who should ruin 50,000 mile tires in under 6k.

Whats been done to the car? Any type of suspension mod?

Welcome to the Funny Farm, Check a couple of things,
1. Air pressure
2. Check to see if the axle tubes have twisted or spun
3. Bent axles or wore bearings
4. Post some pics so we can see what the wear looks likes
5. Too many fat girls in the back seat at one time
6. Upper and lower control arm bushings
7. Bent wheels
8. Maybe even a bad set of tires

1. Air pressure is fine.
5. No getting buckwild with fat girls in the back
7. Wheels and rims seem to be fine, I raised the rear end ever so slightly, put the car in gear, and its not my rim, also I tried another rim which also wasn't bent.
8. This is the second set in under 6k. The car has just over 47,000 on it.

rear control arm bushings are tore-*** up or your thrust alignment is fugged would be my guesses. Do you roast em'? How much? Like big smoky John Force burnouts or just spinnin' off every light?

How would I go about checking the thrust alignment. As for the burnouts nothing insane one or two ever tank of gas. John Force, I think not, little girly stuff compared to that.

4 wheel alignment will find the thrust angle of the rear to the front. If it's out of spec you'll know and you'll have to get new bushings and possibly some other parts as well as an alignment.

It turns out my housing is definitly bent as if someone hit a speed bump doing 80 and leveled itself back out on the inside of both rear tires. Any chance this ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Musta...spagenameZWD1V ) will fit? It's for an 05-08 and mine is an 2000

nope... you can use one from 94-04GT's no problem. 94-98 will be narrower by an inch or so and will probably look sucked in until you get some wheel spacers. If at all possible stay with the 99-04 for the better wheel track width in the rear.

www.mpsautosalvage.com always has stangs parting out. you could call them. don't know if they are near you or not
