Default SLP Exhaust?

Hey,

I have a 2002 Mustang GT and I was just wondering the differences and pros and cons between these three Exhausts.

1. SLP Loudmouth Catback

2. SLP Loudmouth II Catback

3. SLP Power-Flo Catback

Thanks for your help!

the powerflo's sound good and all other SLP products sound like raspy popping crap. thats the difference IMO.

I've had my powerflows on my car for over a year now and they sound really good. They are packed with some packing **** but it doesnt take long to blow all that crap out so they will get louder and louder. I started out with the LM I and it was just too loud and raspy so I changed them out for the power flows and I like them. I have Bassani mid length headers and Bassani O/R X Pipe and it sounds really good...especially with my S/C =D

1. Loudmouth catback= extremely loud and annoying

2. Loudmouth II= lound and annoying

3. power-flo= tamed down with a decent tone.

You'll be able to find several exhaust combo's on this site.

Loudmouths sound good when you leave your stock headers and midpipe on.

go w/ the loudmouth 2 because the loudmouth 1 is super loud and youll prolly get alot of unwanted attention from the cops just because it is so loud

I have LM1's and yes they are dumb loud, but you can control how loud. I mean when you get on it, Yes its run for the hills loud. When I dont have the lead foot the LM1 hasnt gotten me any bad attention from the fuzz.

I personally think LM2's with the CATTED X-pipe is nice. Add the LT's and they are reallly nice. Now why would I say that combo??

you guys are girls, loudmouths are not that loud. My buddys foxbody w/ no cats and flowmasters is way louder than my loudmouths w/ stock midpipe.

My car is weird then, my 02 w/ 4.10's w/ SLP LOUDMOUTHS 1's is quieter than my flowmasters were at idle. SLP's are louder up to about 4k rpms. and have a really quiet spot at about 2100-2400rpm were I cruise on the highway. Yes they are pretty loud in town

you are fortunate not to have the dreaded drone. your gears make all the difference in the sound on the interstate. pushes the exhaust pulse further back. when i ran 85+ the drone went away with the higher rpm's

I guess that makes sense my slps w/ the 4.10's drone at about 1800 to 2000 rpms which is probably were I would run on the highway w/ stock 3.27 gears.

not to hijack the thread but how often do you get complemented on your car?

here is a pic of the 01 i had. loved the color, traded it for the 07 before i was done with it .. hindsight should have kept in and bought the 07.

BTW, there is TONS of bad advice in this thread about SLP exhaust.

The LM1's and LM2's were never intended to be used w/o cats....duh...that is why they sound raspy and too loud. The Power Flows are for applications with no cats or for guys that just want to drop the volume by about 60%.

Don't beleive me, then call SLP. I did.

i was wondering why mine didnt have the raspy sound is was just loud. i left the cats in place.

if you get teh slp just make sure you get the modular system so you can change the mufflers if you want. i bought mine before they made the modular system, i was stuck with the lm1 resonators.

hey waterdr think ND football will get any better? I miss the Lou Holtz days, at least they won.

ND has a way to go for sure. I am hoping for 6 or 7 wins this year. If you check out their schedule, I think that is realistic.

They had 6 returning juniors last year, this year they should have more depth and they have had top recruiting classes as well. They should be back and I would expect a turnaround next year. They certainly won't be in contention for anything major, but like I said, I think 6 - 7 wins should be a good start.

Yeah....those are not the two I am counting on. This is how I see it as things now stand. Overall, I think this is the easiest schedule ND has had in more years then I can remember. Actually, 8 or 9 wins would not be out of the question, but lets just start by trying to get 6 or 7.

San Diego State - Win
Michigan - Loose
Michigan State - Loose
Purdue - Win
Stanford - Win
Noprth Carolina - Win
Washington - Win
PITT - Win/Loose
BC - Loose
Navy - Win
Syracuse - Win
USC - Loose

BTW, SLP makes a great quality exhaust

lm1 are nice with the stock catted midpipe. they get real loud with the catted x pipe i had, and stupid loud with a catless h pipe i have now. i took them off and put magnapacks on (lm2 equivilant) and still didnt like it. im ordering the power flows some time this week while im on spring break....

what im hoping for: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/S...unde_54161.htm

+1 with waterdr....slp makes the best quality exhaust for the money. cant beat it
