Default stupid noise

well about a month ago i was driving 35 down the road behind a semi truck carrying logs and a stupid suv behind that
i was behind the suv
all of a sudden the suv swerves out the way and i was like **** what now and before i could react i hit a log about 2 and a half ft long
it hit on the driver side under near on the radiator
i stopped back up and the log came out
checked for leaks
none
so i drove the 1/4 mile home and checked again
there is this huge dent in the bottom of my radiator and im just glad my car wasnt raised any higher or else it wouldda gone under and possibly took out my entire undercarriage
anyway it makes this retarded high pitched sound when its idling or moving slow now
anyone kno the possible causes of this?
and on a different note when i try and shift from 4th to 5th above 3k rpm i get grindage before it goes all the way into gear
anyone have any recomendations for this?
been on here 2 days and keep forgettin to ask

i dont know about the noise you might want to check and see if the coolint is still flowing like it should. as farr as the gears you might want to try adjusting your clutch or it could be the syncose
