Default plenum choices...any advantages?

first off, i'm not sure if there are any other posts about this...i did run a search tho. have an '02 gt...

already have MAC cai, but want to complete the intake setup. looking into a 70mm t/b, and plenum. question is...which brands are best (for the money)? originally i was looking at a C&L plenum and BBK t/b. everybody raves about accufab, but are they that much better...$$ is an issue here?

here's a couple links with some good deals, any advantages (besides price) or disadvantages? if there really is a diff and accufab is that much better...i'll spend the extra money. i just have a hard time believing that accufab is worth the extra $$.

eBay Motors: ACCUFAB F7046K1 70MM 96-04 MUSTANG T BODY & PLENUM KIT (item 140205310686 end time Feb-16-08 18:00:28 PST)

eBay Motors: 70MM THROTTLE BODY & UPPER INTAKE PLENUM 01-04 MUSTANG (item 290204844690 end time Feb-17-08 08:44:07 PST)

eBay Motors: 75mm Billet Throttle Body C&L Plenum '96-04 Mustang GT (item 140203363201 end time Feb-29-08 12:27:38 PST)

You won't be able to tell a difference between them. I would just go with a reputable company. C&L and bbk are both good brands. Check out http://www.rpmoutlet.com/newv8m.htm. RPM outlet has a ton of killer deals on intake stuff.

well I ordered form them just once and it was for only 70 bucks.Really fast shipping and +1 on the mil discount. I'd give them a try. I'm not going to order from them too much anymore cause their in TX and so am I. Have to pay sales tax and kinda defeats the purpose of online shopping for low prices if I have to pay sales tax.

Alot of people don't lke RPMOutlet but I ordered $500+ from them one time and had no problem. They inflate HP gains but that is about it from what I know. I belive the Accufab plenum flows more CFM but I don't know where the chart or results are to prove that, I read it once on a forum. I don't think you would be able to notice a difference.

i also read in some reviews on stangnet.com that the professional products throttle body has a tendency to either stick open or closed (either way is bad news). sound possible, have any experience?

think i'll compromise on this...

go better then pro products but not as extravagant as accufab.

C&L plenum and BBK 70mm T/B?! sound like a good middle of the road setup?

That combo sounds descent. I've never heard of anyone having problems at rpm outlet. My buddy ordered his whole intake setup (intake, tb, plenum) through them without any problems.

yah, i've done some more research...and they seem like a good company (not sure what those other guy's problems were). i'm just kinda nervous about the quality of a plenum and t/b combo for just $280. it is a c&l plenum and bbk t/b, but still....$280??
