Thumbs up search no use... v6 to v8 swap

so, just random thoughts here
i know you GT's out there have the 5.4 option and i know the phrase "with enough money, you can put any engine in anything" but is it easy to do an 8 swap from a 6?
i was reading the 5.4 only runs about 2k........
anyhoo, has this been done?
the main reason i even entertained the thought is b/c my 6 has low insurance and if i could swap an 8 into it for like 3k, that could rock!

have to call some shops that are more comfortable with the new edge cars and see what they think.

apparently there is a whole hell of a lot that is different and would need to be done, but i have yet to hear a detailed list of what would need to be done.

Yeah I remember this brought up once before. The price was really high because it consisted of a lot if I remember right. Your better off either 1) getting a GT or 2) S/C the sixer.

lots of stuff would need to be changed. You would need a new rear end...V6's come with a 7.5 a GT has an 8.8, so right there is 2k. now an engine, computer, install money....it gets out of hand fast. just go buy a GT or S/C the v6.

It's kinda expensive. I wouldn't hesitate but you should have a donor GT to pull all the parts from. One that's been wrecked good will help.
