Well you could buy a CAI for you cobra which might give you a 5 HP increase, but you won't notice it though...a ram air won't give any gains either! Hell I knew this guy who had a ram air on his car...went through a big puddle of water when It was raining and hydrolocked his motor! :angry3: ....

ram air kits and cold air kits make zero difference unless their is a blower or nitrous nozzle involved

The only decent CAI Ive seen for the cobras is the JLT system. I dont know for sure how much of a gain, but I remember something halfway decent. Us gt'ers are just sol on the intake side. Not much to be gained.

the well the 03 cobra intakes help because any induction mod on a blower car gives much better gains. i mean think of it this way. my wms powerpipe adds 2-3 lbs of boost and over 30hp. just from a pipe .

Well, yes it does add up, but when you spend 200 bucks on an intake for 2 hp, it doesnt make sense when you could save the 200 bucks towards gears or nitrous or something that actually makes a difference.

The usual gain on your car would best be expressed as a percentage. If your car delivers 300hp at the flywheel, and you gain 2-3% (which is about what most CAI's will give you) thats 6-9 more hp. If your car has 450hp, you could gain 9-14hp, etc. A lot of the companies quote "up to" gains based upon stock 03 Cobras because they deliver the biggest number. Some models of cobra also have a limited selection of CAI's to choose from - and have to pay upwards of $200 or so.

Check John DeMolet's Tuneable Induction rig out - they do about the best job, in my opinion, and you can experiment with the adjustments to see which setting will work best for you. They're also very good about supplying help and information.

If you're looking for the best bang for the buck, CAI's are on list - just not at the top of the list.

The CAI wasnt doing much of that though, so hold on to you money man. Just put in a K&N and call it a day, because thats about the same difference you would feel if you put in an intake.

I know you've probably answered this already, but wha is the last item in your sig list ($2700 or so) refer to?
