Some years they had 2 different waterpumps (short & long necks). Also, is your motor the original item? Replacement crate motors often have accessory setups that differ from the oe year.

Eyeball the layout and try to gauge which item may be out of alignment. Is it possible that you installed a pulley backwards? The bolt holes will line up, but the offset will be off front to back. Some of the pulleys will rub if put on backwards - reverse the install, removing the suspect pulley first and checking to be sure that its as it should be. Install the old pully in its place and see if the alignment works. If this fails to bring enlightenment, check the pulley mounting surfaces to see if they are true (worn waterpumps will distort sometimes, as will the shafts on alternators - soon to fail, of course). If you still can't see the answer, send the offending item back to BBK (get a return authorization) to be checked out.
Its possible you have the wrong set for your car - make sure the part numbers on the box and parts agree with what BBK says should be in your kit, including any spacers or washers.
