Default Cobra R bumper support bracket?

Anyone ever heard about having to have a bracket to support the weight of a cobra r bumper on 99-04 Stangs?I think I read it somewhere you have to fabricate one to keep the middle from sagging over time.Anyone ever heard of such a thing?Or anyone whose installed a cobra r on their ride, got a bracket? If not, hows it holding up?....THX

if you're going to drive around with the splitter attached (silly) then yeah.. you'll want to fab up a bracket. I wouldn't drive around with the splitter attached nor would I own a R bumper without a removable splitter. They're all the damn time scraping and breaking. No bwaynoh. Besides... R type splitter isn't even that good as a splitter.

lowered with eibachs, 18s, the bottom of the lip sits about 2-2.5 inches off the ground.
