Question n00b needs help

So i'm definitely a n00b to the Mustang scene and i need some help. I recently bought a used '05 Mustang GT automatic from a chevy dealership who didn't know anything about it. It apparently has eibach pro kit springs, a granatelli TB, steeda underdrive pulleys, and i can't tell what type of flowmaster exhaust it has on it.

Anyway, the problem is the previous owner flashed it back to the stock tune b4 trading it in and the granatelli tb isn't cooperating w/the stock tune. Its given me 2 maintenance lights b/c it wouldn't go into 5th gear, and just now gave me a check engine light and when i stepped on the accelerator it did nothing; wouldn't rev or speed up.The guy at the Ford shop said it was sensor problems and a tuner would fix that so i was thinking about going all out and getting the livewire.

Until then is there a way around the problems? I don't have the stock TB so i can't put that back on. Also, i was gonna buy the tuner from american muscle but i'm not quite sure of all the specs of the car (i.e. MAF & Injector Size, Mid Exhaust (Stock/H/X-Pipe Catalytic Converters or Not), Mufflers or Straight-through/Glasspack Style Exhaust)

Like i said i'm a noob to all this so any help w/o flaming would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Default Hmmm.

I would be willing to bet that after that pony was traded, it got "sent off" for inspection and all before the dealer sold it. Just depends on who did the inspection. I have read on here before that Ford dealerships will automaticly reflash ECUs with stock tunes. As far as getting you by untill you can get a tuner, I got no help for ya there. I am fairly new to this world too. But an after market tuner like the Diablo Predator or SCT should fix ya right up. From everything I have read, you dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure them out. Just get your 400 bucks together and work with it, trial and error brother! LOL

take anything with the word "granatelli" off your car right now, as that is probably what the problem is. their stuff is known to be crap. there have been a couple other guys on this forum with 05+ cars who had bunk granatelli throttle bodies, and they both ended up going back to stock. I'm sure you can get an OEM one to replace it, try asking randy in the parts section.
