Last week my alternator went out on me when I was on the freeway. I had it towed home and slapped a new one on. Ever since this happened, when I start the car the rpm's bounce around like crazy. If I rev the throttle a bit it evens out but still seems like it's missing or something. Any ideas what may have happened? Thanks for any help.

 

Found the problem. One of the vacuum lines popped off when I installed the alternator. It's running good again.
