Default King Cobra vs. Spec Stage 1

Which clutch should I get? And which flywheel. Does it even matter?

since you have a T45 i take it; i would rock the king cobra cause its cheaper and works well and just get the stock flywheel turned. You want to keep the steel flywheel to have that mass for daily driving. It makes it easier to not stall having a heavy flywheel.

deffinatly get the king cobra, its what i put in my moms fox. the flywheel is up to you, would you rather pay $40 to get the stoker turned, pay 200 for a steel, or 300+ for an AL?

I dont agree with Spec= crap. Tim loves them and is using one in one of his 800-900rwhp cars.

As far as spec 1 or king cobra, I dont think either are all that much better then stock. Id go with a Spec stage 2.

OK, thanks for your input guys. Another question, when it comes to aftermarket quadrants and firewall adjusters, is there a particular brand you'd recommend? I'm looking at either steeda or maximum motorsports.

Maximum Motorsports... and that rule applys to anything they make. If its available and theres a choice of MM, get MM. They are the industry standard and they are the ones steeda and other manufs try to copy.

Thanks so much guys, one last question: How do I know if I have a 6 or 8 bolt crankshaft?

EDIT: And does anyone know a coupon code for maximummotorsports.com?

Romeo engines have 6 bolt, and windsor has 8 bolt.

check your vin for a W or X code somewhere in the last 8. X is Windsor block, W is Romeo block.

I have X and it's a Romeo so it isn't the best method. The best is just look at your valve covers. If you have 11 bolts holding it to the head, its Romeo, 13, it's Windsor. Also, if you see a giant W on the block, it's a Windsor.
