Question Parking Brake

Has anyone ever had a problem with their parking brake light coming on when you brake under normal driving conditions? I have an 04 GT with 43000 miles on it. I don't really want to have to take it to the dealership and was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Do you mean the ABS light? if so your more then likly low on fluide if the light only comes on when braking. Check the fluide level and see if that is your problem.

The red parking brake light will come on under heavy acceleration or braking. This is because the fulid is getting sloshed around causing the sensor to red low fluid. Check the fluid level while the car is level, if its to the line then its fine. If its not then fill it.

check it out soon ... i left mine on for like a day and a half and the brakes went out on me ... could just be that the fluid is low, but it could be worse

It could also be the cable binding or just misadjusted. I know on my dad's F-150 when he release's the emergency, it doesn't release all the way so the light obviously stays on (though this usually only happens in cold weather).
