Default is it my battery or alternator?

Me and a couple of friends were out at this empty big lot where you can race and drift and do burnouts, all that good stuff.
My car was working fine, until we got there. opened my door and the interior light went and everything looked normal but it just wouldnt start.
We jumped it and let it run for like 10 minutes, turned it off but it wouldnt start again.
What do you think the problem is? the battery or the alternator.

if you can jump it and it runs then it sounds like the battery. As thats what holds the power to start it.

an easy alt test it too unhook the positive battery cable while the car is running. if the car dies or stumbles like its going to die its the alt. if it runs strong it most likely that battery. or go up to your local auto parts store to have an on car electrical test done.
