Wink Tinting '06 Mustangs

Folks,

I had my side windows on my 06 GT tinted when I bought the car.

Shortly after that, I saw this streak/tear in the tint on the drivers window. Had it replaced, happened again. According to the tint shop, they say the seal on the inside of the door, captures dirt, etc, and causes it to ruin the tint. So, they glued (yeah, stupid) some felt in. Unfortunately, summer in Kansas gets hot and yes, glue melted, so they replaced the tint. Moved to PA, and yep, glue melted again.

So, am having the original interior window seal re installed, and will have the window re-tinted, again.

Anyone else having this problem?

Any ideas, suggestions, thoughts??

Chris

This happened in my 03 on the drivers side window. Looks like something scratched the tint. Havent done anything about it though.

when i got my 06 tinted in vegas the guy told me i needed felt in the doors to keep the tint from fetting scratched. i though he was crazy but i let him do it anyway. it worked like a charm and my tint never got scratched. as far as the glue, just make sure you're going to a good tint shop, i never had any problems with it coming loose and i live in the desert.
