Alright, everytime I shift fast into second it grinds. I used to think it was just my shifter sucking but im pretty sure my syncros for 2nd gear are all fugged up. That sound right? it also does it sometimes when i put it in reverse.

And how much u think it would be to repair?

Def synchros. If you have the coin you should go with a TKO or T56 upgrade. If not, Then it could cost you about $700. At least that's what one of my regulars from when I bartended 4 years ago told me. He owned a tranny shop.

 

If you can afford it, upgrade from your T-45 to the TKO's and if you can't, you can find used T-45's on ebay all the time for cheap, and probably cheaper than getting it fixed at the local tranny shop. Funny how they will rebuild your tranny for 1000 bucks but you can buy the same tranny rebuilt for 700 bucks. or atleast that's one shop i knew.

 

i would either buya used one that works, or if your gonna keep the car upgrade it to something better like the G-force t-5 or the like.

 

Yea im definitly gunna look around for a new tranny if its gunna cost that much. Ive seen my exact tranny on ebay go for about 600. Maybe ill get lucky and see a t56.= for a good price.
