Default ECU removal in 03 Cobra

How do I remove the ECU from my 03 Cobra? I see it, but I don't see how it comes out. I need to remove it to install a deltachip.

simple...
you can see it so you know how to remove the interior panels that need to come out.

With the battery disconnected:

There's a bracket in front of and slightly below the ECU with all manner of wire looms attached, unbolt that and move it out of the way.

Use a 10mm socket to remove the wire clip from the base of the ECU. Be careful. As you unscrew it it'll force the wire clip out of the base of the ECU.

There's a white plastic bracket that holds the ECU in place. Remove the 5.5mm screw at the lower right corner. Pry up the corner with your hand, and the ECU will try to fall out. Now it's just a matter of wiggling it out and removing the chip from the top. Since most chips come with a sticker that covers the access port, you'll either have to remove it or open the ECU to gain access. Either way it's easy.

Enjoy.
