Default Help me do it right

Just had a pair of BFG DR put on P275-40-17's and judging from the rest of the mods I've made so far, I don't really know what to do next that would be smart, and in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thats just what I thought you were going to say , LOL.
How did you get 304 rwhp? What did your rwhp start at?
Oh, 04 Mach 1 right?

Yes, an 04 mach.....I actually didn't get a baseline dyno tune so I'm not sure what I started out at, but I think most of them baseline dyno around 270rwhp...from what I've seen I'm about right for mach's with the same mods....my car seems to be on the strong side though cause there are a lot of mach's with the same mods that aren't quite breaking 300rwhp. My tune is what did it for me...my tuner was using the predator and it just didn't do jack sh** for my car so we ditched it and he did a custom tune and loaded it directly to my ECU and that's what got my over the 300rwhp mark.

So it was the custom tune that did it for you. I wonder now if my Predator is worth jack to me. What did the custom tune set you back? $$$ I live very close to a place that does Dyno tunes, but I don't think my mods put me in the catagory for something that costly. I would like a good tune though, because of what you said, your Pred. didn't do it for you.

I agree with jjtgiants. Its great to have alot of power, but doesn't do much good if you can't hook up. Strut tower brace and subframe connectors will be good whether your running 1/4 miles or auto-xing. Just doing those 2 can make a world of difference on how your car handles.

As for the predator tuner, my mach was 272 baseline rwhp. After adding the CAI, x-pipe, cb and custom tune, its 288 rwhp. But I was wanting a conservative tune (it was my DD at the time). Since then, I added the headers but haven't had a chance to dyno it again and am looking at getting a Xcal2 tuner. I use the predator in my GT now (new DD) and the mach has been sideline for a little while (getting 4:10s and looking to P&P the intake manifold).

I went to my tuner with the intent of having him use my predator to tune it, which he charged $150 for, but when that didn't work out so well I went with a custom tune that set me back $300! It was a little expensive, but the tuner took his time and made sure it was right, which I appreciated.

It's been a while, but i recall the tune with the predator not allowing my car to make power beyond 5,800rpms....but I remember the graph just dropping off the table and the tuner couldn't get it to do anything beyond the 5,800rpm.....now the custom tune allows me to make power up to like 6,400 with the power gradually dropping until the 6,800rpm, which is redline

You might want to get a dyno tune using the predator and see how that works out for you and if your not happy with the results ask your tuner if he thinks he can get anymore out of the car with a custom tune....maybe he can, maybe not.
