Is This Complete Crap?
How can they sell these intakes for this price?
Would my existing K&N fit on an aftermarket cold air?

I'd stay away from them. I bought one for a 93 gt that I was selling. It was a pretty cheap set up. don't get me wrong, everything was there and it actually fit my car but it was really cheap material. " Remember "You get what you pay for!!
Good luck,

you do get what you pay for. i knew a chick that bought one for her stang, some of the parts seemed cheap, but when you buy stuff like BBk, you paying the extra 100 bucks cause it says BBK on it. but would i buy the cheap one...nope.

The cheap cold air is fine - I have one works great - mine goes into the fender and everything - its all the same crap - dont be fooled by labels - when the filter gets dirty - just put in a k&n - I am 100% satisfied with mine - 50.00 shipped - its a great mod - you can feel the difference - it revs a hell of alot easier to!

Alot of those kits are made in china, taiwan and they are massed produce. sold super cheat to shops and thats why they sell them cheap. Maybe some of the cheap ones are better than other cheap ones. but do they care on how well they flow...who knows. I bought the CAI from tunableinduction, cause they actually take time to see how well they flow and try to get some HP to the wheels or like JLT.
But for that cheap, if it is junk, who cares, you'll now better next time or it could work great for you.

Just because they are "CHEAP", does not mean it was not engineered to give you the most bang for the buck. Hell, even the BBK and others may be made in China, but was tested at BBK to get the final, most efficent, design. Yes alot of these are mass produced over in some foriegn country.
This is a fact that we Americans might as well get use to.
So IMO, go with a trusted name brand, at least they stand behind there products. If you go with the ACME brand, expect the same type of results that WYL E COYOTE (spelling) gets.

first off, that particular model is crap. It has a huge bend just before the MAF from what I can see and that often leads to irregular MAF readings and lean conditions. Fenderwell CAI's are for people that don't know any better. Second, it's made from relatively thin metal and soaks with heat fast, and 3rd the welds will eventually vibrate themselves to pieces as they're not well done.
If you want the benefit of a CAI, find one that moves your MAF into the fenderwell and extends the wiring or one that leaves everything in the engine compartment. bends after the MAF are fine, before it is not. A K&N filter is just about as good and a helluva lot cheaper in the end.
Do not buy hotrod parts off ebay unless you have become an expert in what you need and what its design features will net you.
Lastly, you're making a huge mistake trying to cheap out on performance parts. You'd probably do well to knock off that behavior and pony up to the bar with your favorite card cuz making power and having it be reliable can be expensive. If there's a cheap mod to be had, then something is wrong with the design or they'd be yanking a 100 bucks out of each copy because THEY COULD. China made stuff sucks dik. Period. It's become the new home of crap-assembly, poor designs, and good ripped off designs that have been poorly copied. Yep, they're making more stuff every day because cheap bastards can't get it through their thick skulls that good stuff costs more than crap and morons will buy crap and think it's golden because they're cheap azzes or infinitely willfully ignorant.

First off, Thanks for the info... I wasn't really planning on buying my intake on eBay, but I figured I might as well ask and see if anyone's tried them. How about this one at MT:

This seems to be a generic brand as well, very similar to the eBay intakes. Can anyone vouch for this one?

Any eBay seller that wants to make his profit through inflated shipping charges does not get my business. Sell it for the actual price you want, charge me the actual shipping and I will be a customer of yours. $22 is WAY too much for shipping on it. That should be your first red flag.
