SLP LM1 w/ Bassani catted X...

yeah I had LM I with bassani o/r x pipe and it was just too loud and raspy..So I went with the power flow mufflers..at first they sound so much quieter...but it sound so good now after you blow alot of that glass pack out..hopeing in another 1000 miles or so I will have almost all of it blown out..but I like the sound alot.

that setup is popular as hell around here. I don't like it cuz it sounds kinda hollow and poppy but pretty much everyone else seems to. At really high load and/or RPM it sounds good... just the cruising that I don't like.

cats tone down a good bit of the kinds of sound I don't seem to like but not nearly all. If you have a good muffler, rather than a resonator, I think it sounds much better. Offroad pipes don't sound good to me on less than a full race motor. Personal opinion. And one you may not agree with in all reality. LM series with or without cats are kinda the same way. If you're making really impressive power it's cool otherwise they are just too noisy for me. Just like flowmasters... I hate those things. Nonetheless, you'll be sound legal in most places but just barely. I'd stay out of the loud pedal around the local heat. If you're about average in your taste you'll love em.
It just occured to me that you already have the LM's. The bassani catted x will make it sound better if anything. I wouldn't trip on that. I love my X pipe. It's been great. And no MIL's w/ cats on it.

digging around more on the subject, i learned that the x pipe i was looking at is in their "BX" product line, basically a budget model. has anyone had any experience with this? bassani doesn't go into great detail on their website.
