I wish I would of started looking into this thing before I bought MIL Eliminators. Also I have a Snap-on scanner here at work to read and clear codes. I need some more convincing . I might give mustang tuning a call tomorrow and talk to them about it. Anyone know how much my speedo will be off with 4.10's and 245/45/zr17 tires?

Correct what? The check engine light code? I already bought the MIL's and if i get the SCT, I will have no use for the MIL's anymore and that's $45 down the drain.

DUDE!! Quit being a tight wad and crack open that wallet, or quit crying! Go big or go home!! I bought a Superchips only to find out it was inferior, so now it's on to SCT. If it will make you feel better, I'll sell you my Superchips for $100 and it has gear-tire speedo corrections. :censored:

Thats funny that you mention superchips b/c a guy at work told me to get superchips b/c hes big into nascar and superchips is a sponser. You say superchips is inferior to sct? How is that? And 100 does sound good!

The Superchips works ok, but I can't have it modified to fit the needs / mods of my car, or future mods. It also only has two modes, 87 or 91 octane, an SCT can do much more. It's a decent unit, but the SCT is better, and that's what it is all about. Email me if you are interested and we can work something out I am sure.

Not to rain on ya'lls parade, but i own an xcal 2 for my bullitt. So far i haven't noticed any performance gain at all and also all it has done so far is taken the light away from my check engine thing. Also it is so much trouble to change something like your gear ratio. I am just getting 4.10's and i went to see where the user adjustable things are on the tuner and i found none! Now i'm hearing that i have to connect it to my computer and do all kinds of work just to change my ratio. So much for easy user adjustability. I don't knom maybe i got one that sux *** but mine has given me no noticeble benefits and i feel as though i wasted a lot of money for very little gain. But these huys seem to like it so it must be good. Maybe mine just sux.

Thats what i've been waiting for...someone to disagree. I believe that this thing is geared more towards automatic trans cars. More than half the options on this thing are for autos. Only things I would use this for is to change the gear ratio and turn off the rear o2 sensors. And this guy ^ even has trouble changing ratios.

I can go out and change my gear ratio at anytime. You must have messed with your tune or something.Did you use the extreme tuning program? If you did that make's the user controls not available and you have to adjust it on your CPU.If you have'nt then you need to set it back to the stock tune and the adjustements are at the first when you are loading the custom tune.

There is no other mod that you can do that can grow with your mod's and gain that kind of HP for the money.

:stupid:

For all you can do and gain with one, they are not set at too bad of a price. If you're not sure, get something else. Eventually, if you keep modding, you will have to get the tuner.

Imma look into buying this guys superchip tuner. The only thing I can find out that it doesnt do custom tunes.

Superchips Tuner does:

Adjust Shift Points
Adjust Shift Firmness
Eliminate Speed Limiter
Recalibrate Speedometer for Gear Changes, only on models 1999 and later
Optimize Rev Limits
Adjust Cooling Fans
Choose from Two Performance Settings

I bolded the things I know I would use and the SCT does those also. So I would be saving money buy a tuner that does the same thing. Plus I don't plan on adding too many more mods.

Diablosport! Also it's the software my dynoshop uses. Very easy to adjust anything. I datalog, email to them, they adjust tune and email back to me for install.

from my experiences with all three...

predator: had trouble getting repeatable results on my car. I'd put the tune on and dyno then take it back to stock. Put it back on and dyno and it's nowhere near where it used to be, particularly the A/F ratio. Most everyone else loves theirs so I think it's just a glitch in my car. Dead easy to use.

Superchips: meh... decent tune. Made the car run smoother. Easy to use. Not worth what it costs.

SCT X-Cal: not yet for my car, but on everyone elses I've seen it on, they LOVE it.
