Roommates Mercury Sable's go pedal would stick a little when the throttle was closed. Throttle body was just dirty with carbon deposits around the butterfly's mating surface. After I cleaned it, it stuck no more. Rain wasn't a factor though

Id say a carbon buildup as well. Take the throttle body off and look for deposits around the butterfly valve that may cause it to stick. Its a common problem with quite a few vehicles.

When I got my BBK t/b it had carbon buildup actually didnt have and carb cleaner so I used the bottle of Everclear that I half drank the night before sure did the trick.....use carb cleaner...lol

Cokeacola will also eat that carbon away. Let it soak in for like 24 hours.
