Default Hi, new to the Mustangs. I'm looking for a 2000 Mustang GT.

Hi,

My budget is about 10,000. I'm looking for a 2000 Mustang GT. I've been driving my current for 4 years now, it's a VW Jetta. I've never owned an american car before. It's time to get a new one, I want a RWD car this time, so I'm looking for a Mustang.

Is there anything I need to be aware of in this particular model? Like, when do I need to change the timing belt? Does it have any traction control?

Thanks.

Ford V8's all have timing chains.

It also might help to broaden your search from a 99-04. All are practially identical except for slight changes from Mid 01-04.
