Spring question
I put in LCA yesturday so now the rear of my car lowered more than I thought it would so im going to cut my front springs. Im thinking im going to cut 1 coil(360 degrees) for an inch drop but question is that is going to remove the coil on the top that is flat...so is it alright to put the isolater on the round coil once i cut the flat one off?...Thanks

I wouldn't cut the flat one. it helps to rest against the upper Kmember spot for the spring. If you going to cut, cut the bottom for sure. Also i could cut maybe half a coil to 3/4's of a coil. You don't want your fender resting on your tire, and when you hit the bumps, you'll know.
If you have upper and lower spring isolators, you can take those out first. I did it on my 95 GT to make it go about 1/2 inch lower and it looked good and had it that way for 4 years with no problem.

cutting off 1 full coil will lower your car by over an inch. Start by removing the isolators, then see how it is. Cutting springs is never a perfect solution. You could go the easy way and just remove the isolators from the rear springs.

my bad... remove the isolators from the front, then check your ride height and see if you need to cut coils.
You'd remove the isolators because cutting coils is a bad solution to an aesthetic issue when there are other non-destructive ways of reaching the same goal. Squeaks after removing isolators are 50/50... some get them some don't. I never did in the 4 years I had them removed from my various stangs.
