I have a friend with a '01 Crown Vic (Police Interceptor) and he wants to get a chip/tune for it. Anyone know who,what,where and how much?

 

XCals say "for ford" vehicles so I bet an xcal would work on it. Just my guess tho. I'd call an sct dealer and find out.

You are mistaken. In later model CVPI's the only mechanical difference from a civilian model is a heavy duty alternator. All other mechanical aspects are identical.
