what do i need cause you cant just put in cams what else???? where do i get the rest of hte stuff??? and what do you recommend for cams???

 

What cams? If you just want some nonpi cams, like Comps 262 (a great cam for the non pi cars I hear) then I guess just the gaskets and such. Do a search over on Modular Depot, its a great cam-techie forum.

Youll have to look around, but I believe they are like 599, and its worth about 20 hp maybe? Id still suggest you did the PI heads and intake first, along with some VT stage 1's. Just me though. Id rather pay 2k for 100 hp than 600 for 20.

you can get the PI heads and cams from just about anywhere. The dealer, online sites, or you can just go the the junkyard and buy some used PI heads with an intake for extra cheap! That wouldnt make as much power as some nice ported heads but im just lettin ya know whats possible. If you swap on just some stock PI heads and cams itll probably make 300rwhp. Itll raise the compression so itll be a bad choice for forced induction but great if you want to stay N/A!

The better route would be some ported heads and nice cams. But all that costs way more than just some used PI heads and an intake........
