side/hood scoop

Default side/hood scoop

how do i get the grills out of these i want to take them out and paint them a gloss black to match car better instead of the grey plastic

On the hood scoop you have to take the insulation off the inside of the hood, then unscrew the hood scoop and unscrew the grill in the middle once it is off and you should be good then.

alrite thanks and how bout the side scoops do i have to take off the whole scoop?

I'm really not sure, i've never taken off the side scoops.

i guess i gotta take off the whole side scoop 2......darn

You shouldn'y have to take the whole scoop out. I took the black pieces out of mine by CAREFULLY prying up from the bottom with a small flat screw driver and then popping them out. You just have to lift them far enough to free the mounting tabs.
