This has been gone over many, many times. The conclusion has been this: DO NOT BUY A CAI ! The JLT RAI Is 10000000000000x better than a CAI with the bend before the MAF. The bend WILL throw off your A/F ratio and you will lose power. The car will prolly use more gas and it causes more detonation. The stock air intake is 100x better than a CAI also. BUY THE JLT. Also K&N makes a great intake.

Also you have no mufflers..... No Mufflers + bad A/F ratio(CAI) = Problems

^^^ sorry bud but you're wrong. They'll both put out about the same amount of HP. But if you're running your car at the track, RAI is the way to go. JLT is the only brand with TRUE COLD AIR... meaning the MAF is inside the fender well, so there is no bend before the MAF. The RAI is only functional when you take out your passenger side headlight, so if you plan on never really taking your car to the track, just go with the CAI. Plus the cAI looks cooler and you can get a cool paint job done on it.

Having no mufflers does absolutely nothing to your car but make it loud.

It does Screw up the A/F ratio. I have seen it several times and its happened to me. CAI's are pieces of trash. No a CAI doesnt look cooler... WTF??? Hes asking which one makes more power. If your all about RICING IT UP then get ur gay CAI........

Maybe ul blow the engine and we can all have SOLID proof....

with a mac, bbk, and upr cold air intake it messes up the air/fuel ratio because of the big bend BEFORE the mafs. but with jlt the bend is AFTER the mafs because the mafs is in the fender. they are the only company that i have seen that has done this correctly.

CLEAN2KGT if you want to spend the money for a jlt intake then dont be afraid to use their cold air intake. good luck with it. the hp increase may not be worth the money you spent for the intake but at least you know you wont have problems with it like the mac, bbk, and upr intakes.

As said, JLT is the only true cold air. You can custom paint the CAI AND the RAI, someone said just the CAI. The CAI just has a lot more piping.

The large plus with JLT is it is one of the only pipings that have a 4" diameter. That's HUGE. I personally am getting the RAI, because it has a larger filter than the CAI. With the CAI putting the MAF in the fender, it doesnt leave very much room at all for an air filter. Also the RAI has a very nice heat shield that covers ALL teh filter from the engine bay and not just some. Also the filter is angled towards the fender opening, not just behind the headlight like other straigh systems.

eh, i just dont think jeredan was aware that jlt actually designed a pretty good system. the other cai's are giving it a bad name because they designed a bad product. i really think all three of the other companies have their cai's built by the same company and they repackage and rename them.

isnt 4 inch piping overkill? i mean, ist it a waste if your throttle body is only 3 or 3.5 inches...? wouldnt that decrease performance by having the air be smacked into a hole smaller than it? unless the tubing gets smaller at the top... this is all asuming the throttle body isnt 4 inches. lol

You people dont understand anything. The kid asked about a CAI IN GENERAL. Read the post! Not a JLT, some other member just threw in the word JLT and now everyone thinks I dont know what im talking about. Thats. I am correct when your talking about a CAI in general(MAC, BBK, UPR, ETC.). I told the kid to go with JLT! I said that because I am confident in the company. I know that theyre stuff isnt gonna be crap. Why you would ever want the CAI Style I dont know but OK I agree that design WOULD work. Quit trying to flame on me at any chance and opprotunity. I think that theyre is a little jealousy involved here.:shifty:
