hey there, im new, my names matt. and im looking for my first car.
i want it to be a mustang but having troubles deciding.
my budget is 12 K and for the most part i can chose a nice looking 2005 v6 mustang, or a 2003 GT mustang.
i really like the look of the 2005 but i feel and heard its reeeeeal slow.
the look of the 03 isnt horrible and i figured it would be much fasted omapred to the v6.
any recommendations at all?

 

I Love the look of the 2005 as well but cant speak much for their performance. what are you planning on doing with your car? as in, are you planning on keeping forever and modding heavily, or just having a car that look good and runs fast stock?

 

I got mine at 16, V6 auto... boring now yes but a great learner car that doesn't kill on insurance. And you can still make it look nice. That being said if I had 12K at this point I would find an edge body for under 10 and stick a couple grand into it with mods

 

I'm 18 years old and I got my 1999 GT last year.
Personally if you can afford the gas/insurance, GT all the way.
Hower,as far as an 2005 to a 1999, I personally have driven both. I definatly enjoy my '99 to the next gen. The '05 feels much, much, larger than mine. Definatly slower IMO.

Ultimatly its up to you. But for me and im sure most of the people, here find modding the best part of Mustangs. So a little extra cash left would be a nice start.
